Finally got to come out here! I was extremely excited to try this buffet when they opened but never found a time to come out. I tried eating here once a few weeks back, but they were super busy on the weekend during the rush so we just left and ate somewhere else that day. But for a weekday lunch like today, it was busy but not full so we were able to be seated right away. The price is pretty good for lunch $7.99 and drinks cost extra. The exterior design is nice, the sign is nice and big for anyone driving by to see. The interior is even nicer, a lot of Chinese style designs and fixtures, very inviting and warm atmosphere. Both the seating area and the buffet line were spacious. It's not huge, but probably the biggest one in the Greater Des Moines area for a Chinese buffet. The food was very good! Like all buffets though there will be some things you will like and some you don't, I don't believe I had a bad experience with anything I ate. The sushi bar is definitely buffet sushi, don't expect anything tasting like a sushi restaurant. Ice cream choices were good! No crawfish for lunch, one of my favorite dishes, maybe they have it for dinner or weekends. The staff members were very friendly! We had a good time eating here and will definitely return! Glad there's another Chinese buffet I can go to now!

I do not like buffets., but i was invited to a birthday party there. Lots of food. Lots of it. If you want a variety of food, go right ahead. Sushi, made to order stir fry, noodle station, seafood, prime ribs..... You name it. I wish they didn't deep fry everything. I could see grease covering the food. It seems like these buffet places don't stay open for long. Let's see how long this place lasts.

New in town and a nice dining experience. It is a huge buffet and lots to choose from. Fresh sushi made right in front of you. Pho also available. Staff friendly and good service. Average price.

I am grading this on the Chinese buffet scale. Went at peak time at night and the food was just terrible. The experience was further denigrated by the crazy people yelling at each other five feet from us the entire time. The service was solid, our drinks were always full. The food was just not very good. The sushi was significantly worse than you can get for a couple bucks at Trader Joe's. I didn't try the hibachi grill so maybe that would have saved it but I think I'd be better served just going to HuHot if I want a cheap Mongolian grill.

I stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago. The place was very clean and smelled good. No weird buffet stank. I'm not sure why people rip on this place, because it was top notch for buffet. I did come as soon as they opened though. Everything was fresh and tasted fine. I tried maybe five different sushi rolls and they all tasted great. The selection is huge. I'm not going to make this a weekly stop, but I will return.

Went here for the first time today and really enjoyed our late lunch. Such a large diversity of food as well as clientele, Got there at 3:00 and they were still rotating and putting out fresh things. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Our waitress actually asked us each time she took a plate away if we were indeed through with it. Most places just take your plates. Her name was Nancy and she was GREAT !!! Food was very good and did not taste anything that I didn't like. This will be our new go to buffet.

The food is good, service not so good. The service might be better if its not so busy. The hibachi grill and the made to order noodles were good. They had a good selection of food. The scallops were not really scallops and were like rubber. The sushi was ok. Will go back when not as busy.
(3)Eugene C.
spectacular food for price in particular regarding mongolian grill, fresh pho station and sushi bar. these are always fresh and good. the mongolian grill I find better than hu hot or bang bang. the sushi is naturally not world class but for the price it is surprisingly good! The steam table food is about like most chinese buffets, but go here for the freshly cooked entrees and the sushi. for those who complained about service, its always been good for me and what kind of service do you expect at a get your own food place anyway?
(5)Dong B.
Love the choices available. In addition to the Chinese food there is the sushi option, pho or Cantonese noodle bowls, make your own stir fry, fruit and salad bar, and the dessert and hard ice cream bar. I was in the mood for DQ like soft serve cone but they did not have a soft serve machine. Lots of choices here but the good quality is your average buffet quality. Nothing spectacular. The stir fry bar is a little higher quality because it is fresh and made to your liking. Sushi bar will satisfy a craving for cheap but definitely no where near the quality or choice that you get from a quality sushi restaurant. Very happy they finally fixed their entrances. All those pot holes are now filled in and I don't have to worry about getting a new axle for my car after feeding my stomachs.

As of Sunday, August 9, 2015, VERY REASONABLE price - $11.99 for weekends and $7.99 for Mon-Fridays until 3:30pm. Not sure of their weekdays dinner though. Anyone? They are a lil bit over manpower but waiters are very polite and kind. Facility is very tidy. Food they serve is clean as well. They have bunch of food selections. Their sushi station is to die for!!! That wasabi sauce and chili mayo is definitely nyummmy! If you dislike eating fresh fish, use the wasabi sauce, you wont taste that odd fresh fishy taste! Enjoy and worth to recommend this place to co-workers, friends, and relatives!

Been here a couple times now and as far as Chinese buffets go it's not too bad. Large selection...larger than any other buffet I've seen so far, but hit and miss on each item. They do have crawfish, but it sits out too long and gets extremely rubbery, the pho is a nice addition and isn't to bad at all. It's not a place I would make a special trip to eat at...but is a viable option when in the area and hungry for lots of food!

Lots of food, but lots of people... Price: Very reasonable. Lunch is about $6.99 and dinner is $11.99 Parking: Easy to find, private lot... can get full. Service: Ehh... not much of it. The wait time is SO long. Don't trust what they say. They told us 10 - 15 minutes but we ended up waiting 30+ mins. I'd rather get an overestimate than an under. Food & Drinks: The food was alright. Nothing special. Their spiciest at the grill is not spicy. Their ice cream was bomb though... it was typically, but I just love ice cream. That was probably the highlight of the buffet lol... DRINKS cost extra. Not included in buffet price. Notes: LONG wait on Friday/weekend dinnertime (6:30 PM). Can go fast. Pretty typical buffet. Gluten-free-ers: Watch out! Everything is cross contaminated. Watch out for their sauces as well. Overall: Came here on a friday night spot on during dinner time and it was packed. I was disappointed that we waited more than double time time of what we were told the wait time was, but they managed to make us stay. There is nothing special about this buffet, but I might come here again if I can't decide what to eat lol.

This is the best Asian buffet I've been to in Iowa. The number of choices is incredible. The regular Chinese buffet items are above average because everything keeps coming out of the kitchen fresh. That is always a hit or miss in other buffets where you have to go at peak hours for recently cooked food. The two standouts for me are the Crawfish, and the Pho. If the restaurant sold only those two items it would still be a great choice to eat. The service the times I've been to Hibachi has been solid. If you are expecting something very high end out of this restaurant, then look elsewhere. The atmosphere is working class and family geared. But if what you want is a great restaurant with a lot of Asian choices, then you can't go wrong by going to Hibachi.
(5)Sarah M.
Large selection! Clean and price is reasonable! My favorite buffet in Des Moines! Food is good!
(4)Mike M.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would! The food was bland, there was only one non chicken entree, the ice cream was good but the setup to get it is horrible. The server didn't speak to us until she brought our ticket. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
(1)Matt E.
The media blitz and superlatives won. Despite not being a big fan of Chinese buffets I caved to billboards on I-235 and the bold statements about "Iowa's Largest Asian Buffet." My interest was piqued. I felt like I was helping to make history. I'll state that my visit here was early on in this Supreme Buffet's existence. They may still be working out some of the kinks. I was disappointed. It's a madhouse framed in Chinese lacquer. There is a disagreeable fishy odor through out the establishment. Asian items are consist of battered and fried bits of meat. Most of the popular items, and things that I felt would be less problematic like green beans were cleaned out. I noticed a lot of "buffet campers." The buffet area itself was very frenetic and congested. I was hoping that the Pho Bar would be the saving grace as it was not highly utilized. I did think it was cool that they freshly prepared the items for the pho by dunking it in boiling water and assembling items you choose but the broth was very bland, and selection of additives was pretty limited. I will say that they are trying to provide a lot of variety, it just was pretty underwhelming, and at a pretty low price of $10.99 the risk is pretty limited.
(2)Marilyn R.
This is just a standard Chinese buffet. They didn't have any dishes that were any better than anywhere else. Nothing spectacular about it but they do have a large number of items. The waitstaff was courteous and kept drink glasses full and dirty plates cleared away. I just wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
(2)Donald Y.
I really don't know what I was thinking. Chinese buffets are usually all the same but for some reason I thought this place was going to be different. Maybe it was all the billboards, maybe it was the newspaper article talking about how the owner was dumping a ton of money into the remodel to revitalize the restaurant presence in the area, maybe it was the fact it took over the old Lonestar Steakhouse building. I'm not sure. Whatever it was, boy was it wrong. Let's start with the ambiance. Just like every other chinese buffet around, this place reeks of faux China. Chinese wallpaper, coy fish pond, cheesy chinese music. The works. The place was clean, at least I can point that out. So my first adventure into the buffet area. They have 10 buffet islands, only two are dedicated to chinese food. The rest is full of salads, desserts, and american buffet chow. If I wanted american buffet food, I would go to Old Country Buffet. The two that did hold chinese food were split into fried apps and entrees. Like every other chinese buffet, all the food here is prepackaged food service junk. Not a single thing on this buffet was created in the kitchen. Like I said, I'm not sure why I thought this place would be different. The selection was blah at best, and it was at 1:30 in the afternoon. I've seen better selection of entrees at the chinese express area at the local grocery store. And what kind of chinese buffet doesn't have crab ragoon? That should be a staple at any chinese buffet!!! I grabbed a couple spoons of different entrees and was not impressed at all with either. So I decided next I would try the hibachi grill. It's basically a poor man's version of HuHot. Same type of premise, load your plate up with veggies and meats and have the cook stir fry them up. Veggies were mostly frozen. I understand that even at HuHot the meat is frozen but the veggies? Worst part of it is the sauce area, or lack thereof. You see, I'm an adventurous guy, and when I go to HuHot I love mixing and matching whatever sauces I want. They do have sauces here, but they grill cook has them all. So it's harder to really get in and play around with the sauce combos. Lastly, only one type of noodle to select from. All in all the hibachi was OK at best. Edible but definitely not memorable. I didn't stick around for dessert. The ones I did see where all neon colored and cut into neat little cubes. One last thing, and I'm not normally one to point out the clientele, but I have never seen a larger congregation of guys in wife-beaters and cut offs and older people in motorized scooters. So yeah, there really isn't much more to say. For such an introduction with all the billboards and ads it fell really, REALLY flat. There are better chinese buffets in town that have been around longer. Try them instead.

YEAH, NOPE. So my sister in law starts to eat this chicken stir fry thing, and all of a sudden she pulls out a RUBBER BAND FROM HER MOUTH. Yep, that's right. So we call our waiter over and tell him what happened and he gets the manager... The manager says he talked to the kitchen staff and "no one did such a thing" ........ Right okay. So he tells us my sister in law doesn't have to pay for her dinner. Aww how sweet, she almost died by eating a rubber band, WELL NOPE, he just gave us a 10% discount. I have never not paid for a meal but I came extremely extremely close that time.
(1)Sumita B.
This is your typical Chinese buffet. The price is comparable to other Chinese buffets. There is a decent selection of American and Chinese food. If you like seafood there isn't a lot to choose from in my opinion. Some of the other local buffets have more to offer - such as salt and pepper squid, fried or stir fry shrimp dishes. The soup station is decent. You can choose from pho and regular Asian soups. There is ice cream, but you have to scoop it out yourself. Opening week the ice cream was soft since the door was opened was often. The place is clean and new. Service was good. Server took plates away timely and refilled drinks.

As far as buffets go this has been by far the best . ;) the choices are abundant and good tasting food I couldn't even taste everything because the re was so much !! Definitely will visit again when we're in town

I'm Chinese. My family has been living in the US for nearly 20 years. I'm still very sensitive to high quality Chinese food from my country of origin. My family recently moved from Houston, Texas to West Des Moines, Iowa. We didn't anticipate at all that we would find great Chinese/Asian restaurants in Iowa, but after we went to lunch in Hibachi Grill on 8/1/2015 Saturday and we were pleasantly surprised. Considering being a buffet restaurant, the food quality, food variety, restaurant atmosphere, size and decoration of Hibachi Grill can certainly match the ones in Houston, where high class Asian restaurants are ubiquitous. We lived in Des Moines during 2004-2007, when good Chinese restaurants hardly existed at the time. Historically, the lack of good Chinese food in Iowa reinforced its reputation as a backwater place among Chinese Americans. After living in Houston for 7 years, we moved back to Des Moines. We've seen enormous economic development in West Des Moines. I think the success of Hibachi Grill is a reflection of the booming economy and cultural diversification in the area in recent years. I'm writing this positive review because from a Chinese perspective, I think Hibachi Grill is a very high standard Chinese/Asian buffet restaurant considering being in the Midwest of US and a predominantly Caucasian region, and it deserves much better rating than it is on Yelp.

Lunch is about $7.50 and would be the only time I'd visit this place, dinner is certainly not worth the extra money. Tried this place once shortly after opening and was not impressed. I thought I'd give it a second shot after the newness wore off to see if it was any better. It wasn't. For being an "Asian" buffet, there is a lot of American food on the buffet lines and only one true line of Asian entrees. The other stations could be highlights, if perhaps they had hired people who enjoyed their jobs. The dude cooking the pho didn't really seem to enjoy his job much. He also dresses the pho bowl for you, you aren't able to add your own cilantro, jalapenos, etc. They also used lemon wedges, which I have never seen with pho before. I also noticed the sushi chef drinking some Coke out of a bottle in the prep area. That's a health code violation. Buffet City may not have all the hype, billboards, or fancy signage, but you'll have a far better experience.

I couldn't understand how the previous reviews could say the place was clean. Then I noticed the date Sept 2014. I don't think they've cleaned since then. My feet stuck to the floor on all the hard surfaces. The spoons in the food were sticky. The tables were sticky (and I saw the wait staff cleaning after people left, must have been with dirty rags) My daughter went to the restroom and said she had been in nicer kybos. The food was the usual Chinese buffet food. No better, no worse but the filth pushed it over the brink.
(1)April B.
Food was terrible. No sweet and sour chicken, crab ragoon, or sesame chicken. I was waiting in the entryway for my husband to pay and kids to wash their hands and the watress came out and accused me of not paying. And some little kid was licking the icecream spoon everyone uses and put it back in the bucket, wait staff saw and did nothing.

Cheese. You don't normally think cheese when you think Chinese buffet, but I found quite a few cheesy dishes and they weren't half bad. I went at lunch, which seemed to be a good time to go as the parking lot was a bit under half full and there was ample seating to be found. They do offer Pepsi products (BONUS) and didn't state any other drink options, just that they have Pepsi products. There were no mini menus at our table telling us about the drinks either. She said, "you can go..." and it felt like this was some race and we were supposed to be the first to the food. I guess we won because we were! Due to the huge amount of buffet tables there was no wait and no traffic. Having been my first visit, I decided to sample tiny bits of anything looking good so that I'd know what I liked. It seemed to be about 65% Asian foods and 35% other foods. OK, it could have been 67%... So in the middle they have all of the prepared foods with the last line being ice creams. Along the outside wall they have the "Mongolian Grill" type setup where you choose your ingredients and they grill it fresh. Don't expect Hu-Hot, but they did have a nice selection. Beside that is the sushi station. They had quite a colorful spread of sushi showing. I've always been a bit cautious about buffet sushi since the incident in LA where I had bad buffet sushi and had to board a plane while sick, so I tried none of these. Upon returning to my table the Mountain Dew was served, so my meal could commence. Everything that I had taken to taste was pretty good. Nothing was bad, but nothing was a stand-out dish that really caught my attention. As far as "Chinese" food goes, my choice is always General Tso's Chicken (also called the more informal, just General Chicken). Theirs was not amazing and other chicken dishes actually out-bested it here. I can cook this dish better with my own recipe, though I call it General Rob's Chicken. I know, if this wasn't an American invented dish and there were a General Tso, he'd be rolling over in his grave! Another choice of mine is always the crab rangoons. I enjoy them more since I tried to order them in other countries and they had no idea what I was talking about. The rangoons here were pretty good. Not too crabby, which is great because the cream cheese is the real star of the good rangoons. Coated in sweet and sour sauce, these tasted about as good as any others in town. The cheesy dishes I found were actually mostly good, but of course weren't really part of the Asian selections. The pork and cheese stuffed potatoes were very good. The cheese sticks, not amazing. All in all it was a taste journey that while fun was a graph looking more like a small set of mounds and hills in Iowa than a mountain range. I did return to the buffets for the ice cream before leaving and was surprised by the range of flavors. They even had birthday cake ice cream, which is a personal favorite of mine...so that along with the Mountain Dew did appeal to my sweet tooth. Lunch price was only $8.50 and a drink is $1.50, which even together is about $2.50 under a place like Hu-Hot for lunch. I believe dinner is a couple bucks more according to the sign. The (men's) restroom was quite clean and the music they piped through the restaurant could be heard louder here, which is great when it comes to masking some individual's sounds. I think I'd take the trip to the Hibachi buffet again.

Everyone likes a good value. They like to feel like they're getting over on someone and that they're just a bit more clever than your average Joe. Buffets prey on this mindset by offering loads and loads of food at too good to be true prices. In my experience, the lunch pricing sure sounds like it's too good to be true, but believe it -- It's the real deal. Without a drink, your bill here is going to be cheaper than at most lunch spots. It's absurdly cheap. Is the food here average at best? Yep. Are there a lot of food options? Yep. Will you probably find something you like anyway? Yep. Is the decor super cheesy and stereotypical Chinese? Yep. Is the service middle-of-the-road average? Yep. As long as you know what you're getting into and what to expect, you'll be happy here for lunch. The price is so low it can overcome any shortcomings. Dinner? Now that's a different story. You're looking at the same buffet as you were looking at lunch, except it's magically $5-$6 more expensive, per person. The food doesn't change. The quality of the food doesn't change. Yet, the price increases. What was a reasonable value proposition for lunch (~$7) becomes a significantly diminished value for dinner (~$13). Again, we're talking very, very, very average and bland food that's dished up by the skid loader. Don't get me wrong, this is not a *bad* place to eat. There's nothing *wrong* with this place. It's perfectly fine. But they also don't do *anything* exceptionally well, and in a city with so many amazing culinary options, even one visit here is one less opportunity elsewhere. Unless your only concern is stuffing yourself silly (and I encourage you to consider the health implications of this), you can do better at dinnertime. Try visiting the Cool Basil just a block north of here for the best Asian food in all of Des Moines. Be warned: you may actually have some thought, care, and especially flavor put into your food.
(3)Brent C.
After reading some of the reviews and marketing for this place, I took the family for a Sunday lunch. There is lots to choose from but ultimately it is still Chinese buffet food. And in my opinion the food was marginal at best. There wasn't good flavor. Most food was bland. The sushi was OK but nothing great. My son tried the hibachi and he said he preferred Huhot to this. I wasn't overly impressed with the Chinese food offerings. In fact, the were as many American dishes as Chinese ones. The pricing was also steep for my family since 10 is the cutoff for the kids buffet. If you like Chinese buffets then you will like this place. But for more flavorful, better Chinese food, there are much better places in the metro.

An absolute gem on a Chinese buffet. Priced affordable with mutiple sushi options with several seafood dishes. Go!!!
(5)Jeni B.
This is a very nice buffet. I enjoyed the lovely atmosphere, polite staff, great selection of food, and clean environment. We dined on a Monday night at 5pm. The place was busy but not packed and yet the food was very fresh. I tried the hibachi, pho, sushi, and various selections from the buffet. All of the food was tasty and well presented. I saw the sushi chef busy at his art. We received our drinks within 2 minutes of sitting down. I had no trouble getting a refill either. Try the green tea ice cream!
(4)Teresa ..
I'm surprised this place has such low reviews! For a buffet, you can't expect much, but for being a buffet, they exceed my expectations. This place is CLEAN. That's really huge to me, because I cannot stress how many buffets I have been to that are NOT clean. And when the place isn't clean...well, you know how the food will be. This place does offer more choices of food than your normal buffet. Sushi is good (especially for it being buffet sushi). I also like how they have tons of sauce options for your sushi to add on top (they have your normal sauces like spicy mayo, ponzu, eel sauce, and then more interesting ones like blueberry, mango, or strawberry sauce). if you feel daring, try the fruit sauces! they're pretty good! Chicken skewers are delicious here- juicy pieces of chicken on a stick. Don't bother with the crab claws (fried balls attached to crab claws) they're just fish balls attached to a crab claw, nothing special. Fried chicken wings here are pretty good, as are the sauteed mushrooms. We boxed up all of this in takeout boxes, and it only cost $12 for dinner! I don't know about you, but that's a pretty good deal seeing as how the sushi we chose were all special rolls, and all our food only cost $6 per person? And for dinner price? That's really good! Anyway, we will definitely return here when we feel like choosing a variety of different food to eat for lunch or dinner. I think I found my go-to buffet place here in Iowa!

(I will compare this to Eastern Buffer which use to be in WDM.) Went there today. Felt the selection of food was good. The Hibachi grill was okay. There was no actual steak or beef except this thinly sliced stuff. And I am admittedly a steak man. Quality of the food I had seemed on par with your typical Chinese buffet type of places. Nothing special. Our waiter was nice, but it did take at least 15-20 minutes until we had our drinks. Overall, it was just okay. If you ever experienced Eastern Buffet when it was open, their food was better and staff were friendlier. That place just didn't have the feel of a hustle and bustle buffer.
(3)Tim P.
For a buffet I give this 4 stars for restaurant and probably be a two and a half. I personally do not like buffets especially Chinese buffet but it's a good bang for your buck. This is one of the better buffets around the Des Moines area for Chinese food. The service was not even that bad. The food was compared parable to most other Chinese buffets. The food was replenished regularly and did not set out too long, but that could have been because it was a little bit busy so they ran out as soon as they replaced it or vice versa.
(4)Sydney W.
Terrible restaurant. Food is just like any other Chinese buffet. Also had a coupon for $1.50 off per customer per person. It says "cannot be duplicated" so we brought one and went as a group of 15. We were told by the manager that we'd have to bring in 15 of these coupons if we wanted 1.50 off for each person even though it says "do not duplicate" and "$1.50 off PER PERSON" right on the coupon! The manager wouldn't do a thing. Our group of 15 will not be returning. Hopefully it was worth it to give up all that business...

We have been watching for this to open over the last couple of months. The remodel is very nice and cleanly done. Some great touches on the decorating. Food is good and varied selection for many tastes. I noticed the did a great job keeping the different items replenished with fresh. Seafood items are average, dessert and salad items are good. I enjoyed the hibachi chicken the most. Hard and soft served ice cream. The wait staff is very prompt and attentive, free beverage refills and our server made sure we never went dry. Friendly and well mannered staff. They wear the same uniform, it's a little air steward like but does give you a clear idea if who is staff and who are patrons. Overall I thought it was an good buffet, much better than the others Zi have tried lately.
(3)Jared R.
Your regular Chinese buffet. Lots of seafood dishes, which if your allergic to seafood doesn't leave much to choose from. Found enough to fill up with... But not fully satisfied. Ok to try at least once. Salads, sushi, seafood, Chinese, Mongolian grill, custom soup, American & ice cream.
(2)Tony M.
The food is below average, the create your own dish was okay, but they really need to keep the place cleaner, I don't expect too much from buffets, but this place is well below average.

I went to check out this buffet at an off-time to beat the crowds. Late afternoon on a Sunday seemed safe. However the parking lot was nearly 75% full and things were quite busy. This could either be a good sign, or a sign of chaos. I thew caution to the wind and checked things out solo. This place was clean and modern looking, which is key for any buffet. I started out with their surprisingly well done sushi offerings. HG actually has a respectable variety of sushi. I saw eel, spicy tuna, salmon avocado, and even some yellow tail. Now what really pushed things in to value town is the addition of seaweed salad. This tasted just like the stuff I pay 3.50$ for in a restaurant. Against all odds, the sushi tasted good. Just the right mix of rice and fish and decently fresh. In addition you can add eel sauce or a few types of spicy mayo to customize the flavor. Great idea guys! This is better than grocery store sushi and I easily ate more than 10$ of it. A strong value indeed. Chicken broccoli was just fine, salt and pepper chicken had an odd fishy aftertaste, and the fired general chicken tasted as it should (hard to mess that stuff up). Sadly they did not offer Mongolian beef or beef broccoli. I actually didn't see any beef entrees out on the buffet floor, they all had to be custom cooked. Also missing were pot-stickers. Deserts looked really underwhelming and the scoop your own ice cream looked like a great way to take home a cold from an illness stricken child. I finished things off with some fresh orange sections and left stuffed. Service was fine, but my initial drink came a bit slow. PS: About an hour later I felt extremely dehydrated. I had to postpone my shopping trip to chug two bottles of water. If you are salt sensitive you may want to be careful here. PPS: Instead of bad Chinese music you get bad rap/hip hop. You have been warned.

Got food poisoning from this place. Spoke to someone the next day who went here and had the same food poisoning! Was pretty nasty three days of recovery. Had shrimp, sushi and soup with octopus. Be warned!
(1)Ian Y.
Sushi bar is a big disappointment, slow to make and only serve crappy rolls. Crabs taste rotten. Lots of cheap carb food. Quality is really subpar.
(1)Jo J.
They don't honor their coupons in the way that they are written: per person. So don't go as a group unless you each have a coupon-and they still probably wouldn't let you use them if you were sitting together. Poor customer service and goodwill. The food is typical, nothing unusual. Too much competition out there to treat customers badly.

Cheap good buffet. I have tried both lunch and dinner. Personally I liked the lunch buffet better. The salt and pepper crab which included for dinner was tasty; however, some of them smelled bad. Hibachi grilled vegetables with shrimp and pho were very good. A piece of mocha cake with butter pecan ice cream was delicious. Good service.

The best Chinese Buffett I have even been. Food is excellent. Best place for celebrating holiday.

I went there last week for the first time. The guy that was serving us was nice and professional. Our bill came out to be with 2 people and a drink, $19. So I tipped him $10. So I decide to bring the whole family, 8 total. Cause I was impressed with the food and service. That didn't happened today. I felt like the lady kept walking back and forth and eye balling me. Like rushing me to hurry up and eat. I understand it's busy, but we all pay the same price and I want to enjoy my food. So when we gotten our bill, like always you bring it up to the cashier and pay. So she stopped me and demanded I pay her right now at the table. I was shocked! I told her I'll go pay at the cashier. She said No and demanded I pay now. Like I was going to take off without paying. I was embarrassed and waited at the table for her to give me my change. So she came back with the change and looked at me. I said, my change please. And she said, oh okay. With a attitude and said this is not included tip. So she demanded me to tip her! I smiled at her and said okay. And with a rude attitude, she demanded me to tip her! Unbelievable! I've never had been to a place that rushed me to eat and asked for tip! They lost a customer! Bamboo Buffet is much friendlier!
